Mount Taranaki Guided Tours is managed by Ian McAlpine, an experienced mountaineer who has completed over 1,700 ascents of Mount Taranaki.

Ian will be your senior guide

Ian has extensive experience on the New Zealand Alps and has climbed in Nepal, India and Antarctica.

He is an Official Guide for Mt Taranaki/Egmont, and has been a Department of Conservation Guiding concessionaire since 1992.

All our lead guides have NZ Outdoor Instructors or NZ Mountain Guides qualifications, so you can feel safe.

We have more than 30 years mountain experience, to keep clients having fun while being safe.
